What a day!

Today we took the kids to get their picture taken. It was a lot of fun:) At first they were like statues, they wouldn't move. We had a hard time getting any smiles out of the girls. We got some smiles from Armando. The one kid that doesn't smile at home for the camera, smiled at the photo studio! Ha. We did get some smiles from Alea later on. We didn't get any smiles from Arianna. We still got good pictures:) This was the first that the kids visited the mall. They had a wonderful time, and so did we. We also visited Daddy's office. It was fun to show the babies:) Today is the last day of RSV season, and I didn't freak out taking the babies to public places. Hahahahaha. The babies behave very well:) Thank God we didn't have any melt downs:)

I'm attaching a couple pictures here:) I'll post more later. It has been a long day, and somebody is crying. Arianna in pink, Alea in yellow and Armando in blue:)

Enjoying the sunny day:)

Today was a beautiful sunny day:) I put hats on the kids and took them outside to enjoy the nice weather.

Alea all ready to go. Arianna is also ready to go.
I forgot to take a picture of Armando in the house with his hat (Oops!).
Outside enjoying the sunny day. From left to right Alea, Arianna and Armando.

Frankie was also outside, and he was enjoying our company. From left to right Alea, Mommy, Arianna, Armando and Frankie. It was so windy that we had to forgo the hats:(

Grandma with the kids and Frankie:)

Armando was so funny. He didn't want his feet to touch the grass. He was lifting one foot to avoid the grass:) Silly goose!

A closer look to his foot. Ha ha ha ha

Alea taking it all in:)

Arianna loving the sun:)

"Uhhhh, what's all these green thingies"
Our outside adventure had to be cut a little short due to an unwanted visitor. There was a snake very close to us. Yikes! It was a harmless one, but it still gives me the shivers.
After we pointed the snake out to Frankie, he tried chasing it away. What a good boy:)

At this point, the babies decided to start exploring. This was a good time to go back inside;)

Birthday pictures!

I'm finally getting around to post birthday pictures. The babies had colds last week, so I had very little sleep. They are finally getting over it:)

We had a small fun party for their birthday:) Grandma and uncle Mark came to celebrate the big day with us. Grandma and uncle Mark holding the birthday girls and boy:)

The birthday theme was Sesame Street:) I didn't want to have 3 different themes going on.

Isn't it cute? three little ones:)

Proud Mami and Daddy holding the birthday girls and boy:)

Ahhhhhh! The birthday hats:)

Grandma made all 3 milk and soy free cakes for the babies:) They turned out beautifully! Thank you Grandma:)

Arianna first taste of cake:)

After tasting the cake:)
Alea hands on that cake:)

After first taste:)
Armando having his first taste of cake. At first he wasn't too sure, but then he went wild!

See what I mean by "went wild" LOL

Arianna with her birthday hat:) Just hanging out:)

Alea loved wearing her birthday hat.

Armando wearing his birthday hat.

It took several shots to get one picture with all three wearing their hats, HA.

Opening presents. They enjoyed the paper and bags more than the presents (particularly Arianna) Ha.
After the party and frosting off her face, Alea was very tired.

Armando was out. Even before I put on his sleeper. Ha ha ha ha
At the end of the month, we'll be taking the babies for professional pictures:) I got some cute Easter dresses for the girls and a cute little outfit for Armando:) I hope we get good pictures. Now that they are all crawling, it will be hard to have them stay put for pictures. As soon as we get those pictures, I'll post them here:)

The night before the birth

April 11th, 2008 baby A had a very strong heart decel with one strong contraction.
Since we were concerned about baby A, I had to sleep with the contraction monitor own. Yikes! In order to make sure the monitor was picking up baby A’s heart, they had to monitor all 3 babies. Needless to say, I had very little sleep that night. Me with all the belts to keep track of the babies' hearts (I hated those darn belts).

Even though, Dr. Boyle wasn't on call that weekend, he came very early the next morning. After, listening to his advice, we knew that we were going to have the babies that morning:) (THANK YOU Dr. Boyle for delivering these babies:)
My last belly shot.
By the way, since Thursday Arianna has a cough and a runny nose:( Poor baby! Alea just started today! Yuck! Mom and Dad are sick too. We can only hope that Armando won't catch it.

Miss Arianna has been rolling around, kneeling, and getting out of sitting. Yay! She is progressing very well:) Way to go baby girl!

Oops!

Turns out that my memory is not as clear as I thought. I was reminiscing with Grandma about my last post. We got to the conclusion that I was taken off Procardia on March 31st! I guess things are getting fuzzy, uh? This is just for my own records:)

Tomorrow is the big day! Yay!

No more Procardia!

A year ago today Dr. VanErden came into my hospital room and said "I'm taking you off the Procardia." For all of you that don't know, Procardia was the medication I was taking to ease my contractions. In my mind, Procardia was keeping me pregnant (even though Dr. Boyle and Dr. VanErden explained many times that if I would go in "true labor" nothing would stop it). When Dr. VanErden gave me the “devastating” news, I just cried, cried and cried. It was Monday morning and I was 28weeks and 1 day pregnant (I could tell you the hours and minutes too). Pat, one of my favorite nurses, was there when Dr. VanErden broke the news to me. She gave me many words of encouragement, but I was too worried to listen. I was feeling so inconsolable that I asked Matt to come to the hospital earlier than usual. He is usually very good at making me feel positive (thank you honey for being there when I needed you). The afternoons were well known for lots of contractions. However, to my surprise, the afternoon came and I had no contractions. I couldn't believe it! The next day Dr. VanErden had a big smile on his face and said: “Pat is telling me that you had no contractions since yesterday?” I think he wanted to tell me “I told you so.” By the way, Dr. VanErden took me off the Procardia because I was having heart palpitations (s/p?). He said that I had been taking the med for too long. He also pointed out that he needed to take good care of not only the growing babies but also the mother to be.

I was 10 weeks on hospital bed rest. But, I was blessed with a wonderful team of caring and loving doctors, nurses and staff. Every day this caring group of people tried their best to keep me happy and as comfortable as a person can be at a hospital. I had the best care a person can ask for! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Sanford High ROB team! You guys rock! I promise to bring the trio over for a visit soon:0)

P.S.: Pat, my nurse, still recalls the story, and we chuckled about it.

Armando loves to crawl on top of the toy box!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha! I just need to look at this picture when I need a good laugh! This is Alea making faces:0) (haciendo viejita).

My cutie pie Arianna:) "What's up Mommy?"

Pre-birthday week!

I can't believe that my babies will be one year old on Sunday! Yikes! Where did the time go? Don't take me wrong, the first several months went by REALLY slow! But, after they started sleeping through the night and bottling on their own, time just flew. They are not the tiny babies anymore. I'm so happy and thankful to have happy and healthy babies. We give thanks to God for all the blessings:-)

Alea has one more tooth. Since the babies are getting so many toofers, I thought it was time to pull out their cute little toothbrushes (thanks Falls Dental).

Below it's a picture of the toothbrushes. Aren't they cute? The babies are very curious about the toothbrushes. I used to massage and wipe their gums before bed with a wet wash cloths. That was a lucky thing because now the babies let me brush their teeth. After I'm done brushing, I let them play with their toothbrushes.

Arianna brushing her top toofers:) hahahahahaha.

Alea getting that left new tooth nice and clean. By the way, she has a total of 5 toofers! wow! Way to go Alea!

Armando loves to "examine" things before he does anything with them. Hahahahahaha

Did I mentioned that Alea and Armando are pulling themselves up?! Yep! Grandma found Alea in her crib kneeling:) Alea has pulled herself up not only in the bath tub but also around furniture. Alea graduated from PT! Yay! She only needed one section to jump start her crawling:-) It will be a lot easier to take one baby to PT instead of two.
Armando saw Alea kneeling and decided to do the same:)

He is also pulling himself up to a standing position:)
Armando loves the book shelf that Daddy built for Mommy. He sat in there all on his own! It's a good thing I keep my camera on the kitchen table:)

Daddy was gone on a business trip to California for 9 days! Yikes! We missed you a lot! The babies were very happy to see their daddy :) Everybody wanted to be held by Daddy:-) Thank goodness Auntie Vicki can over during the first weekend to play and cook :) THANK YOU Vicki! Mommy loves your meals:) Most of all, THANK YOU Grandma for staying every night with us while Daddy was gone:-) From left to right Armando, Daddy, Arianna and Alea.

Is this sisterly love? Alea and Arianna were holding hands while eating their supper last night. They love to hold hands and giggle:-)
Alea is on the left having a blast with her sister Arianna:)
Arianna is doing great too. She is moving a little more and it's progressing with the help of PT. Hopefully, she will be crawling in no time.
