2 year old pictures!

Our kids aren't two years old yet, but we took them for pictures already :) This time things went MUCH better than the 18 month photo shoot fiasco. This time we went to Portraits Innovations and we are very pleased with how things went. Now, that doesn't mean that the kids were fully cooperative with this whole thing. Arianna was the worst one. She did not one her picture taken at all. She had several tantrums (rolling on the floor and all) during the photo shoot. That's why you will notice that on the pictures her hair looks very crazy (so does Armando's because his hair has a mind of its own, lol). The best picture we got of all three. From left to right Arianna, Armando and Alea

Arianna giving us a look of "are we done with this?!"

Arianna with her mad face and crazy hair.

My favorite one of Arianna. At least in this one she doesn't look so upset.

Alea all serious.

A funny smile from Alea.

Alea looking Innocent :)

While Arianna didn't want to sit for pictures, Armando didn't want to leave the set, lol. We had to drag him out of the set so that other kids can have their picture taken, lol.

Our big boy :)

I tried to comb his hair, but it would come back to this! But he looks cute anyways :)

Their new favorite place.

We finally got ourselves some decent kitchen chairs as well as a dinning set :) The kids love to sit on the new kitchen chairs to "read" the paper and any magazine that they can find. In this picture, Alea is reading the paper and Armando is reading Daddy's woodworking magazine.

Arianna flipping through the adds..."What should I buy Mommy?"
But their favorite place of all is the dinning table and chairs. They love to crawl, sit, and stand on it. They love to gather around the table and play on it, hehehehe. Mommy is just concerned with kids falling off the table not to mention getting scratches on her new table.
From left to right Arianna, Armando and Alea rolling their toys on my new table. You can see why I get concerned about scratches (I guess I'll have to get over it because it will happen no matter how careful I try to be).
Arianna crawling on the table and Armando peeking behind the chair.
Now everybody is on the table! This is how I found them after taking a bathroom break. From left to right Arianna, Armando and Alea.
This last week we have some viral infection coming through our household. Yesterday I took the girls to the doctor. They both have upper and lower respiratory infection. Double ear infection (probably from the viral infection) + nose infection, yuck! We're doing some nebulizing (s/p?) treatments on them. They are already doing better plus the slept through the night, yay! Armando didn't get as sick as the girls, but he did keep us up several nights.
Hope everybody is having an awesome weekend!

Kisses galore!

This afternoon I was playing with the kids and Miss Arianna decided to give kisses on request :) I made a couple of videos. They are very cute! Sorry that in some parts of the video I'm aiming the camera towards our messy family room. I was holding Alea and I was afraid to put her down and ruin “the magical moment.” But I think you will be able to appreciate this cute video (even with the parts that are out of focus).

In this one you can see Arianna kissing Alea. Both of them are giggling. They are making the kissing noises, not me. Aren't they cute?!

In this video Arianna is kissing Armando :) How cute! :)

Silly kids...

I can't believe my kids are getting so close to turning two! Where did the time go? The last year has flown by! The kids are talking more and more each day. It's so exciting to watch them grow up, learn new things and develop their own personalities. Today I want to update you on each one individually mostly for my own recollection of things because I don’t want to forget the cute little things that they do today.

Arianna has turned into our little helper. She likes to pass me a diaper when I’m changing her siblings. Also, she will pass me shoes and socks for herself and for her siblings. She is the one that is friends with everybody (meaning Alea and Armando not only her sister), and the one that likes to comfort the others when they’re crying. She is a very special little girl. If I had to describe her with one word, it would be “sunshine.” She lights up the room with her big smile! She is so sweet to her siblings. For instance, whenever anybody is crying, she likes to bring them his /her favorite teddy bear to comfort them. If she gets up and notices that Armando isn’t in the room, she starts calling him “nano, nano, nano” (that’s how she calls Armando) until she finds him. She is also the talker of the bunch. She is usually the first one to say new words and phrases. For instances, when Frankie is in the kitchen, I will tell Frankie “vaya para alla” sending him out of the kitchen. Very soon, Arianna will stand beside me and point her finger to the back of the house, and tell Frankie “yaya pa’ya.” It’s the funniest thing to watch (see video below). They all do it now, but usually Arianna is the first one to do things like this. Her latest word is “ado,” meaning cuidado (which means careful). She is really a sweet heart, but she also likes to tell on the other two. Whenever Armando or Alea are doing something that they shouldn’t be doing, she will find me and tell me “no, no, no.” Then she runs to the sibling that it’s getting into trouble and shouts “no, no, no” to them. She continues to be a mama’s girl, but Grandma is close to taking the spot. Arianna is into shoes, clothes and lately reading books sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket.

Arianna is the messiest eater! This is a picture of her after eating apple sauce. Messy little girly.

Arianna likes to give me this looks of "Mommy look at me, I'm so innocent." LOL.

Arianna posing for the camera.

Everytime I tell Arianna "sonrie," which means smile. She gives me this cheesy smile, cute!

Alea is definitely the little princess of the house or so she thinks. She has quite the personality. She is very ticklish, her giggles melt anybody’s heart. She is very determined on what she wants and when she wants it. She is our cuddly one though. She likes to drag around her favorite afghan and pillow so that she can cuddle whenever she wants. Like Arianna she likes to read a book while sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket. She likes to be pampered, meaning that she likes her hair done, clothes and shoes on right away in the morning. She doesn’t like to have her hands dirty. She is a very neat eater (unlike Arianna who is the messiest one). She is also our best eater. She would be the first one to try something new as far as food goes. She is also very caring and loving. She loves hats so I have some hats out for them to play. Whenever she finds a hat, she makes sure that the other two also have hats. She gets along very well with Arianna, but she has a love/hate relationship with Armando. Armando and Alea often have a blast playing together, but sometimes their fights are very ugly. She really, really, really LOVES shoes. I think shoes are her favorite thing in the world. She also likes purses. Alea also likes to help around the house. She loves to “sort” the laundry. Whenever I wash diapers, I let her sort the wash cloths from the diapers. She can put the wash cloths in a little basket and the diapers in the big basket. She enjoys that so much that many times she sorts them, mixes them back and sorts them again, and repeat this process many times, lol.

Alea has conquered the table. She likes to climb into anything that she can.

Alea also likes to pretend that she is a grown up sitting at the kitchen table looking at books.

What a cutie (can you see Arianna's pink butt behind Alea? Lol.)

Alea being silly.

Armando is the chef of the house. Ever since we bought them the Step2 kitchen, Armando has been in love with the art of cooking. He can spend endless hours playing with the kitchen. He loves it! He is also the one that likes rough playing. He likes to be tickled to death, ha. He likes to wrestle as well, but the girls hate it. He will come from behind and knock them down. He is also the hugger of the group. He loves to hug! He was the first one that started hugging us or his siblings. Now I have seen the girls hugging each other too. Armando is a very sweet little boy. He likes to play with his sisters, but he is also good at entertaining himself alone. He loves to read and be read to. He is also our “curious George.” He loves to try new things and explore new places. Many times he gets in a little bit of trouble because he is the first one to find drawers and things that nobody else has noticed before. Armando is still a Grandma’s boy, but will settle for Mom or Dad at anytime. He is into building/destroying and crashing anything that’s available. He has been seen holding Arianna’s hand and walking around with her while she giggles. He loves to play the game chase and very often he is the chaser. He also likes to cuddle on a chair with Mom or Dad. But have I mentioned that unlike the girls, he hates clothes! When it comes time to put on a diaper on him after bath, we have to chase him and pin him down. He loves to run around nude! He will come out of the tub and take off running while giggling. He is our little streaker!

Armando has also conquered the table. He loves to climb as well.
My cute boy :) He loves his bobo (paci). I fear the day that we have to say good bye to that. At least he only uses for night and naps (or when he manages to sneak one on me).

Armando loves to "read."

As I said before, Armando is a hugger! He loves to hug anybody that will open the arms to him. This is the son of very good friends of us that came over to visit.

Armando after his bath. He didn't want his sleeper on. Alea looking tired.

We have very passively started potty training the girls because they are showing some interest in it. They like to be changed immediately after they have a BM. Both of them have pooped and pee in the potty, but lately they don’t want to sit on it. I guess we’ll take it slow because they are still very young. Armando got his second hair cut last December 15th. He might be due for another one pretty soon.

All of them are getting very good at eating with utensils. I finally decided to just let them eat on their own. It can get very messy; thank goodness we have Frankie to help clean up.
I’m so happy that Armando is not being left out by the girls. At first, I feared that the girls would be to tight with each other, leaving Armando outside the group. Nowadays, they seem to have a good relationship with each other. They play very well with each other. Armando likes to entertain his sisters and they love to be entertained by him :)
Armando getting his haircut.

I posted a few videos of the kids being silly, enjoy it! I personally find them hilarious, but I’m biased.

In this video Armando is playing peek-a-boo with the girls. Very cute!

Sometimes I let the kids run around with their sippy cup. I only let them have it, if the sippy cup has water not juice or milk. They thought it was hilarious to give a drink to each other. The game had to end when they started hitting Grandma's piano with their cups. I hope Grandma doesn't take it home after watching this video, Hahaha.

Happy valentines day everybody!

Snowy days.

We've been having LOTS of snow days around here. One day we decided to take the kids outside so that they could play with the snow for the first time. It took us about 1/2 an hour to get everybody ready and buddled up to go outside. The downside was that we didn't last long in the brutal cold outdoors. We maybe spent 20 minutes outside. The kids were having fun, but it was just too cold plus they had a hard time walking with the all the winter gear. I have to admit that we haven't try that ever since. Maybe when they're older... The kids walking around in the snow.

Don't be confused by this one in blue. This is Arianna. I happened to have boys' winter gear, but not girls (thanks Katrina). So blue had to do for Miss Arianna :)

My three little pinguinos. From left to right Armando, Alea and Arianna.

Armando taking it all in.

Alea lying down on the sled. Yes we tried to have her sit on it, but she wouldn't hold on.

See I wasn't pulling your leg, Arianna was wearing blue :)

Alea and her phone

Alea loves to talk on the phone (they all do, but I think she is the one that does it the most). She also loves hats. Watch her; she is hilarious in this video.

Christmas 2009

It's about time that I post something, right?! Christmas came late to our household because of the winter storm that we had during Christmas' week. But it was fun to finally get together with family after all the storms were done. The kids didn't get their gift from us on Christmas morning for the same reason. Thank goodness they don't know any better, hehehe.

We ended up celebrating Christmas at the beginning of January. On the bright side of things, it was fun to have something to look forward to after all the holidays were over.

School has begun once again for Mommy (yuck!). But I'll try my best to post even if the posts are short. I figured that will be better than nothing.

On January 2nd we got bundled up and headed to to Grandma's house. This is Alea, ready to go.
Arianna telling me "let's go! I'm ready!"

Armando "take this darn thing off my hands."

Armando studying his gift. They all got phones from Auntie Maria. They LOVE phones! Particularly Alea (later I'll post a video of her "talking" on the phone.)

Alea with cousin Alicia opening her present.

Arianna trying to figure out what Armando got.

All three with their phones.

We got them a kitchen! They are IN LOVE with their kitchen. It's amazing how much they copy the things I do when I'm cooking. Grandma gave them a gigantic set of dishes that they love to use to set their little table. Also, they like to buzz around with the shopping cart that they got from Grandma as well:) But to tell the truth they played more with the wrapping paper than any other toys, lol.
